"Just because some scientists may be corrupt, it doesn't change the nature of science any more than Andrea Yeats or Susan Smith change the nature of motherhood."

I'm not saying any scientists are corrupt I'm saying they're human. Science is a process and there is no magical ivory tower where they morph in and replicate studies. I understand from your previous posts you are a recovering Catholic and maybe have some kind of transference going on from priests to scientists here.

"Science is still about provability and religion and pseudoscience are about faith."

If you don't understand the process behind the discovery and manufacture of penicillin, contract an infection, take penicillin in the hopes you will be cured, you are taking it on faith. If you are taking it because the doctor told you, you are still taking it on faith.

I for one don't understand the process behind how this computer works yet I have faith when I click the submit button it will transmit this latest tid bit to you. Maybe someone really understands God and for her it is not faith but reality.

The trigger points to our own evolution border on the supernatural and require a lot of faith to believe, perhaps more faith than the God story demands because there are massive gaps in our knowledge of how things work.
