Kirk....>>>I also think that Carly and Caprillias should work for a buck in pay for the next year and tie their salaries to having the stock at a higher price in 3 to 5 years<<<

Why should they work for a buck a year? What rational? That would be violation of the minimum wage standards. Are you some kind of left winger?

Tying their salaries to a higher stock price encourages all kinds of accounting scams, and financial misinformation (ENE, TYC, WCOM). There are better parameters than stock price on which to base a CEO's or COO's salary. Its possible that a company can be doing very well (increased market share, new products etc) and the stock price could still be in the tank.

But if they did work for a buck a year would they be able to get free lunches at the company cafeteria and on the corporate jets?

How many employees could your company keep at a pay scale of a buck a year??? William Ford (of Ford Motor) can afford to work for a buck a year because he is down to his last 6 billion in the bank and he is used to hard times.

And lastly if someone was dumb enough to work for a buck a year, I feel obligated to terminate their employment. After all you usually get what you pay for.

I don't mean to jump on you Kirk, but its Sunday afternoon and I'm bored waiting for some recovery in the tech market.

Regards, Jerome
