dj - next in France? IMHO, left wing has lost a lot. Left is currently composed of the environmentalist, some center, socialist party, trotskist communists and moderate communists. Leftist have 5 weeks to get their act together: wonder if they will succeed.
Right wing seems to have got the message and probably will go to the elections as a block. New prime minister today is clearly center right.
Uright has gained some hundreds of thousand votes Sunday and now is the largest French party.
So IMHO, center right and center is a winner.
Which will be sluggish for the years ahead as leftist are bad losers and will call for continuous strikes. Taking the excuse that right cannot have won without ultra right voters.

Time to remember the old French jokes: (greve=strike)

GreveATP ( RATP is the Paris metro)
Greve France (Air France)
SNCGreve (SNCF the French railways)...
