From several long timers on the Yahoo Marvel board - they have reported that IR has told them that MVL gets an undisclosed % of box office $$$ after the film grosses an undisclosed amount. Sme people have suggested numbers but no one as far as I know actually knows the treshold figures.
Of course there's toy sales and $ from DVD/video rentals.

With the upcoming movies , I hope MVL takes a summer dive when the momo dies down 'cause it should make a very good buying opp given the future movie releases and the improvements they've been making to the bottom line.
Hopefully the debt reduction keeps up.
