The bearish sentiment indicates that we're probably near a bottom. Everyone and their brother is suddenly bearish and talking about shorting the market. Just like everyone and their brother was bullish and going long in 2000 when the market was sky high. Scholastics say it all, the market is in oversold territory. Chip sales are slowly picking up. 2002 will prove to be the trough year before tech spending resumes it's inevitable rise as we move quickly into the 21st century of technology.
