Mish you’re missing the point. You are letting the technician get in the way of your reason, as does most of this thread. First off, what makes you think that the market cannot nor will not do the same thing again? What makes you think that it might not have created an implosion in this last dive downward? The same separation from reality we saw to the upside.

Trying to explain how it was more reasonable to buy stocks during the bubble is like trying to explain why Coke came out with the “NEW COKE” campaign.

MY POINT being, there is no correct way to answer my original question if you believe that T/A should be used in buying or selling this market. Was it correct to buy during the bubble?

You need to justify what is correct by deciding what is important. If making an incorrect move makes you money, was it truly incorrect?
