WAYNE, Pa., July 15 - Safeguard Scientifics Inc said on Monday that it had no information that it believed would cause a decline in the stock's price. "We are of the view that the company's business prospects continue to be very good," said Chairman and Chief Executive Pete Musser in a statement. He added that, as previously announced, the company expects net earnings for the second quarter of 1996 to be equal to or exceed analysts' estimates of $0.29 to $0.30 per share. _______ Weakness must be attributed to tech and IPO weakness.
