Bombardier Helps "Pass the Torch" With Major Donation to The Friends of the Canadian War Museum
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--MAY 6, 2002 - 12:11 EDT Bombardier is pleased to announce that it will make a donation of $250,000 to the "Passing the Torch" campaign of the friends of the Canadian War Museum. These funds will support the building of a new Canadian War Museum that will honour those who served in Canada's armed forces, preserve the story of Canada's military history, and educate the public about the reality of war and its historical influence on our country's development.
In recognition of the donation, the Conservation Laboratory within the new museum will be named "The Bombardier Conservation Laboratory".
Bombardier and the Canadian Forces share a time-honoured relationship. Jacques Auger, President, Bombardier Aerospace, Defence Services adds, "Bombardier is proud of its lengthy association with the Canadian Forces, going back over 50 years, and is looking forward to supporting Canada"
