You are probably right...that's old economy stuff. Better to base valuations on hope and "ifs". My point was that even at this price ORCL is not cheap as in "value" priced. I would also be weary of justifying values based on past parameters. Nothing that says that data base software can't become a commodity (in price performance ability) product.
Just a thought.
