Neo, and excellent post but the last two sentences are not exactly accurate. It may end up being a vicious recession, mild is pure specuation at this point. And recovery may or may not have begun. The investors are heading for the exits at a time when they should be stabilizing the markets. The net sum is that the investors have zero confidence is this Administration are keeping their money on the sidelines. So things may get real ugly. The Bush Administration has clearly been reactive rather proactive in setting the course for the US and the world.

All of the pundits keep talking about the recovery but for 18 months it has been in next quarter or so.
