Normally, there is a combination of optimism and short covering ahead of the Fed meetings in the past 18-months. This combination usually has created a perfect opportunity for a sell-off on met expectations or disappointment. I believe this time we may have the opposite effect. I don't have time to research this with percentages, but most of us here would say that the drop into the Fed meeting this time is a bit uncharacteristic.
