Wanna: AMD might be able to get higher frequencies by increasing the voltage. If that's what they are planning, then there are pros and cons involved. I recall that they originally planned for 1.55V cores, so we'll have to see what they end up launching.

What AMD needs now is a higher frequency. Unless it impacts device stability and longevity, they should (IMHO) boost the voltage and damn the power consumption.
