Hey Ed, I've been busy. Real busy.

In the real world.

I hinted a while ago at having reached a turning point. I'm re-entering the investment community. But not in the public markets. Looking at private placements and seed stage companies. The capital markets have been turned upside down. There's opportunity amidst the carnage for those who have risk capital and a head on their shoulders.

These days, well I'm still actively lurking. Read several thousand posts a day. Mostly of the moaning and groaning variety. But a lot of "interpretive" stuff. A nice change from the constant preening of a few thread-emperors. Who instead are experiencing a kind of capital Karma.

I don't find SI to be a waste of time at all. Quite useful as a research tool on what's happening. I'm pleased at how quick it still is in disseminating information 'cause of all the cheerleaders pouncing on any bit of news to extract the faintest shred of hope. Not to mention the nouveau-bleak pouncing on all of the bad news like crows on garbage.

I don't have the time to compose replies as carefully as market tenderization of egos seems to require.

Now's a time to listen IMHO. And I'm doing a great deal of listening.

John
