Hi Ham,

Yup - don't like how it fell thru it's 50 day moving average.Stochastics suggest it's in a bottoming phase-with more to go.

I sold my "add to" shares (7000 in the 27 -28 range).I have 3500 that I bought on the breakout @ 23.67.Won't let them become a loser (trying anyhow).gg

The rest are below 20 and I'll gut them out - even if we revisit 13.I'm not expecting that.

Worst case scenario is that 97 dip to the 18-19 (30.65 x's .62= 19.00 area - which is where I'll "add to" again if I'm lucky enough to see it occur.

Don't really expect it but historically - it has happened before - so I'm ready for it. gulp

NAZ will require a capitulation to be declared healthy again.I'm amazed at new lows for the Generals : MSFT,JDSU,ORCL,EMC,CSCO.

These were the last bastions of safe money and what we see is institutional dumping along with small investor capitulation.

Huge rotation into small caps.

With small caps in vogue and the semi equipment stocks having three bottoms under their belt already - I'm hopeful we see support at a previous resistance level.I'm looking for 22.5 - 23.5 to hold strong.

Next perfect time to buy would be when put/call ratio pops over 1.10 and vix spikes up into the 50's.That would mark capitulation like 09/21 - don't know why it would happen - as we've come a long way from then.

That kind of a bottom gave us Intc @ 19.5 and Cohu @ 13.20.

I think semi's will show strength before that,The last wave tech stocks that held on at the end of 2000 are at new lows and going thru double bottoms - semi equip collapsed in Oct 2000 - These last cycle stocks first hit lows in April 2001 - they are behind in the strong hands /weak hands transition.

A wise man once wrote - "Price does not make a bottom - Time does". Fortunately for Cohu holders - we have time on our side.I'm hoping that counts for something - it has in the past.

Bob
