I don't think you can cyber-stalk an anonymous alias.

You are the lawyer, JLA, but I think the cyber-stalking laws are intended to apply to stalking real people. We had a case here where a local man stalked his former girlfriend by setting up a website where he identified her by name and address, and even posted nude pictures of her. He was tried, convicted, and given a relatively light punishment (no jail time).

So far as we know, no one here has a clue who anyone else is in real life ... and if they do, it is because the person in question volunteered the information. I think it would be a huge stretch to argue that you could ever be held legally responsible for causing emotional damage by your posting interactions with anyone on an anonymous chat line. If the bar were that low, we wouldn't have enough courts to handle the volume.

That said, I don't understand why CH doesn't give up on the Poet thing, leave her be, and get on with his life.
