It still takes 10 mining firms to produce 50% of the world's gold, so there is room for more industry consolidation. I previously suggested we would see a 10moz producer and maybe two 8moz producers. I will leave you to speculate which companies could combine to hit those levels, but it is possible, even probable, IMHO.
