British Law Enforcement and Healthcare Organizations
Purchase Cardiac Science Defibrillators for Use in
England, Wales

IRVINE, Calif., May 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cardiac Science, Inc. (Nasdaq: DFIB -
news) today announced that it has been selected to outfit Powerheart® and
Survivalink®-branded automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to the largest law
enforcement agency in Wales and a regional healthcare organization in England.

According to the announcement by Cardiac Science President and CEO Raymond W.
Cohen, the orders are indicative of the high level of activity in the UK as emergency response
and medical organizations are readily embracing AED technology. The UK currently
represents the most active and mature international public access defibrillation market for
Cardiac Science with annualized AED sales of over 1,000 units.

The Bromley Primary Care Trust, a private practice physician group with general practice
healthcare clinics throughout Kent in Southeast England, purchased 39 Powerheart AEDs for
deployment in their facilities. The decision to purchase Powerheart AEDs was made after a
detailed evaluation process involving all AEDs currently on the market.

According to Stuart Hildage, Managing Director of LifeTec Medical, Ltd., exclusive
distributor of Cardiac Science AED products in the UK, "Powerheart AED was selected for
its ease-of-use features and the clinical superiority inherent to the RHYTHMx algorithm
technology, which was of particular interest to the physicians assigned to compare various
AED models. This contract is a further endorsement of the significant patient benefits offered
by the new Powerheart and not available in other AED devices."
