John - AMD planned to lay off 1000 workers from Fab 14 and Fab 15 - and made no announcement about layoffs from Fab 25 last September. What likely happened is that 200 workers from Fab 14 and Fab 15 left voluntarily, so they wouldn't need to be laid off. Deteriorating financials are most likely the reason that 200 additional workers from Fab 25 are being laid off. Monica
