There are two possibilities here:

Those are the too poles of the issue but its also possible that reality could be somewhere in the middle.

Of course whatever the reality is the whole issue does get a bit tiring. I suspect if I was in CH's situation and the answer was #2 I would still try to avoid dealing with Poet. I would be reluctant to formally agree to a "to or about" but I would have tried to defuse the situation and if I found that impossible I would at least agree to the about part and consider putting her on ignore to cover the "to". Whatever relationship I might have had with Poet I would have to accept that it was probably over.

I'm considering unbookmarking this thread since it seems to be so concentrated on just this issue.
