You're absolutely wrong. The officers of the company did, indeed, rack up enormous fortunes. Ex-CFO Andrew Fastow, for instance, earned $30 million in fees for managing the partnerships that helped keep Enron assets off-shore and off-limits to inquiring minds.

Jeff Skilling raked in more than $100 million from the sale of Enron stock.

The Enron fat cats made all the big bucks. That's why it was a pyramid scheme. The employees and the stockholders were the suckers. They got left holding empty bags.

Revisit Skilling's testimony before the Senate committee earlier this year. His lack of concern for anyone but himself is most nauseating.
