1.) Sales of mobile phones rose to 9.5 million units in the first quarter from 8.9 million in the fourth quarter.
2.) Mobile phone sales amounted to 2.44 trillion won ($1.8 billion).
The above would indicate an ASP of $189.50 USD or 207.30 EUR (if my math is correct).
That's a fair amount different than Arvopaperi's ASP of $230€ (207.58USD)
I calculated Q4 blended at $192 USD or 214.86€.

We have also seen Samsung’s handset prices rise an average of 5% sequentially each of the last three quarters, leaping from $178 to $209 over that period as 1XRTT CDMA took off in Korea.
That's pretty close to Arvopaperi.
And Samsung is showing Operating Profit of 27% for their telecom division.

Samsung Electronics Co. said Friday its profit climbed 55 percent in the first quarter, citing a recovery in chip prices and robust demand for its mobile phones.
Samsung Electronics, the world's largest producer of memory chips and flat panel computer screens, posted a record net profit of 1.9 trillion won ($1.4 billion) in the January-March period, up from 1.24 trillion won in the same period last year.
Sales in the three-month period rose 15 percent to a record 9.9 trillion won ($7.4 billion) from 8.6 trillion won a year earlier.
"We're very happy with our performance," said Samsung Electronics vice president Chu Woo-shik.
Chu says he is "pretty sure this year will be our best" because he foresees a growing demand for chips and mobile phones as the global economy bounces back from last year's slowdown.
Samsung Electronics also said it has raised its capital investment plans for 2002 to dlrs 4.55 trillion won ($3.4 billion), up from the previous 3.05 trillion won.
The spot price of a benchmark 128-megabit dynamic random access memory chip — a key Samsung product — has rebounded to over $4 in the first quarter of this year, from a low of $1 late last year.
