Let's move to a substantive issue.

Should Sharon agree to negotiate directly with Arafat, or should he insist on dealing with other members of the PA or othe representatives of the Palestinians.

I'm frankly torn. I believe the evidence that Arafat has actively supported and encouraged the suicide bombings. Would we negotiate the future of Afghanistan with BinLaden?

But OTOH, I don't see any effective alternative.

And I'm frankly very disturbed at Congresspersons going directly to Sharon and telling him not to comply with the administration's requests. Who the H___ do they think is supposed to control foreign policy here, anyhow?
