hi pw

i just did something for the first time on my pc.

i restored an individual folder from a drive image operating system image. so far, i have only used di to restore the entire os image.

today, i was messing around on aol and corrupted a folder that made aol prompt me to reinstall aol again. but i knew which folder i had been playing with, so figured that was the culprit.

i used drive image editor, which runs from windows, not from DOS, and i browsed the os image file for the desired folder and selected a path to where i wanted it restored....

and it worked great!

now if a symantec, or any other program, screws up and prompts me to reinstall, i can just restore the program folder from drive image in a matter of a minute or two.

that is so cool, imo

:)
