<Just a winding down of the Y2k bubble. Before it's over...the economy will be rolled back to pre-1998. Comapnies will continue to go under. Those that cut work forces way back and survive will eventually hire some back. Looks like the days of guaranteed high paying jobs right out of college are over...back to the past. Many people who thought they were retired will make it worse. Unemployment will continue to rise as more compete for the same jobs.
The public will become increasingly bitter about company execs ripping them off with loans and golden parachutes.
The public will cry for tighter immigration laws as unemployment rises. Government entitlements will start to crush the economy as taxes will have to rise to compensate for all the government payola on the books. Rather than make some hard decisions, Congress will continue to play a shell game.>
