FWIW....during a presentation by Verizon Wireless, a question was asked about their response to flat-rate pricing. The response was that it was absolutely unsustainable and that the companies were simply giving the service away.

Most interestingly....Verizon admitted that they had started a flat-rate service in one test market in the South. The test was eventually abandoned.
