When asked if he had ever used cocaine Bush said, "I've done some things in my youth that I am not too proud of. I don't want to discuss this as my daughters are at an impressionable age" (paraphrase) There would have been an instant denial and scolding of the press for even bringing up such a possibility if he had never done so.

The "liberal" press complied and never brought it up again. Contrast that to the incessant badgering of Clinton over a few puffs on a joint. "Did you inhale? Were you alone? How many times did you do it? Where were you?" It went on for about a week.
