Being an urbanite, my only encounter with Nature this week was seeing the same ol' pigeons at the supermarket entrance. But inside, I saw an unusual flora sight. A young couple just ahead of me in the checkout line had five large bunches of parsley, with each one in a plastic produce bag. It was their only purchase, and I naturally wonder, "What are they going to do with that much parsley?" I figure that either there's gonna be a whole lotta garnishing going on somewhere or maybe they've developed a way to smoke it. Or maybe a fine parsley wine will be forthcoming? Meanwhile in the back yard, the aphids apparently discovered they can fly and have taken leave of the oak tree.
