I don't think that anybody will bother to offer xDXL service in areas where HFC networks are already deployed. I think the market share between xDSL and cable modems will mostly depend on how fast HFC networks are build. The xDXL providers can potentially serve anybody over already existing networks. The cable modem service providers first have to upgrade to HFC networks. If too many potential customers already have xDXL it might no longer make economic sense to build a HFC network in that area.
