my wife and I had our house broken into while we were in it in chicago. long story short, i talked to the robbers for about 1 minute, went and locked myself in the basement with my wife and called the police. not 3 minutes later (i was living very near a college campus, so police responded fast) i made the mistake of walking out of the basement to see 3 policemen pointing guns at me. scares me to this day.
