That's something else that bothers me...

That criminal matters are turned into civil ones. I think the OJ case started it ... that if you are not satisfied with the criminal adjudication, you try a second time in the civil court. If Cardinal Law is not guilty under criminal statutes, how can he be guilty under civil statutes? Lots of times now criminal trials are being followed up by civil ones. I think it is double jeopardy on the same facts.
