Yes JK , I'm extremely familiar with the notion of Man being "fallen" from the predominance of that piece of Dogma in the culture I was born into . And I'm also aware of the way that the mythic story of the Garden of Eden was so childishly taught and believed in for so many 1000's of yrs , without really ever taking on the true significance of the myth .
Now that Christianity & Judaism has stopped itself from following in the footsteps of Peter the swordsman , and grown up a bit....they might finally understand the folly of their ignorance . It is well that Christianity has stopped trying to destroy what they do not understand , and can never destroy in the first place ...even for the love of Jesus . For centuries this was the way of Christianity , until the pagan Grecian idea of democracy made way for the fuller appreciation of the entire "Truth" of the story of mankind as a species , has unfolded before our eyes in the modern world .
Today we know that their was no Flood , no Garden of Eden , or a God that took a rib from adam and made woman from it ...or created the world in 6 days . Do you understand this? For centuries upon centuries the Christian just s the Moslem/Islam did , tried to bury other teachings and supplant it with their own fantastical stories . Right down to murdering and enslaving , and destroying the other people's temples by the thousands .
It is for this reason and history alone , I watch Christianity with a guarded eye always . But I am pleased to finally see it trying to grow up and learn more about itself in relation to somethings even greater than itself and the stories and fables it has clung to all these centuries so unwittingly, blindly and intractably .
There is much that you can learn from your eastern brothers and sisters ....yes even of Agape . Do you actually believe that others do not know of selfless love and devotion in this world ? For if you do , then you do need to find Jesus very much ...I cannot begin to describe the horrible deeds of Christians and Moslems have perpetrated on this world in their flawed thinking and zealousness . The destruction these to religions alone , both wrought upon this earth in the name of such ancient fairytales and such rigid
thinking .
But it is good to love life for the simple honest things, but the truth of our reality in this universe is not contained in only one set of teachings , and God , if he does exist , is not the "soul" property of any one dogma , as Christians have had to learn to accept , and the followers of Mohammed will have to learn to accept as well. |
