Arafat plays Bush like a cheap violin. usatoday.com President Bush called Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's condemnation of terrorism an "incredibly positive sign" Wednesday. He urged Israel to consider the consequences of retaliating for the latest suicide bombing. The dangerous sign is not the positions that Bush takes, after all he's taken all the positions on this subject at one time or another, but the fact that some rather unsavory characters have learned how to play to Bush's shallow nature and intellect. This cannot have a good effect on national policy. TP
