Suppression of individual rights is not inconsistent with Communism...at least if I read Marx correctly. Look at any communist "liberation" (rebel) group, most were killers before coming to power, and then used killing to maintain power. They kill their enemies to gain power, then they kill their friends to stay in power. If they are in power long enough, they kill potential enemies. It has nothing to do with "left" or "right". It has to do with: What ends one is willing to go to, to achieve One's political goals. Lets face it, the left has as many skeletons in the closet as the right (in this respect).
