Few quick answers. Yes, the Times is still RW - moderate Republican, roughly.
For example, with the IRA, how often did it bomb civilian targets? Often - pubs, hotels, bridges, City buildings, Remembrance Day (~Veterans' Day) stands, train stations...
How often did it do so without warning? Often - or, better still, give misleading warnings.
How often were children among the targets? How often are children in stations, on bridges, in hotels...?
How often did bombings occur in Britain? At one point, maybe weekly. NI, more often.
Does the IRA claim Great Britain, or articulate the goal of driving the English, Welsh, and Scots into the sea? No, just those inhabitants of NI who've lived there for 500 years or more...
How many states back the IRA explicitly? (Even Ireland officially condemns it). Less now - used to be USSR and satellites, Libya, Syria - the usual suspects. Oh, and votes of approval, funds and weapons from the US...
How likely is it that the IRA is seeking weapons of mass destruction. Then? Who knows. They weren't renowned for pacificism or reluctance to escalate. Now? Not really, IMO: we've dampened pride, negotiated, there's peace... in case you missed my point.
etc.
I'm sure you're actually intelligent enough to understand my points. But Voice of Debka could never admit them.
Just take these two queries, and try and break your bigotry to consider them. Will Sharon's actions lead to peace and security in the ME faster than all others he can take? Does he show the regard for human life and suffering required of a worthy leader - in all folk under his rule, not just those he likes?
Respond or not as you wish, I'm not bothering with you further. You'll parrot away until proven wrong, or death. |
