Responding to John Curtis's Post from the Valence thread:

I have previously posted info relating to your question:

techstocks.com
techstocks.com
techstocks.com
techstocks.com
techstocks.com

I have also posted the news releases many times (one example):

techstocks.com

The large companies have commented on their strategy in this area but you are going to have to go to a fee based provider for that info and spend a number of hours putting the pieces together. Here are the basics: I think if we look at the "public releases" the time frame for commcercial production/shipping looks like the following (I am not going to give info that is not public or speculate):

Tadiran Batteries Current
Moltech 1997
Ultralife Summer/Fall 1997
Hitachi/Battery Engineering Fall 1997
Valence Spring 1998
Lithium Tech 1998/1999

Most of the others have not publically committed to a narrow time frame and thus are not listed but about 90% of them are targeting 1997/1998.

As for battery performance -- I gave those in an earlier post (link provided). I think from those rankings you can figure out where the public ones fit in. All the links to create the timeline above were provided, yet John, you still asked me to do it for you--WHY? This site is for info gathering when are you guys going to participate? Are you still trying to find some flaw in me or my positions because I do not agree with you on Valence? Come on!! You keep on trying to get info from me without participating. Remember the stated goal of this thread is info gathering. I think you have the idea when you look over the posts--do you think you will start providing some secondary info at some point now? Maybe some analysis of positioning. Who is in best position with regard to oem, timeline, performance, strategy, product line, etc. Who is creating barriers to entry, sowing up supply and oems? Answers to those questions will lead you to the best position large co
