That's a strong parallel in many ways - the northern half of México being seized while she was at the weakest point from the struggle of throwing off the control of the imperial power, and Palestine being seized even before it was able to shake off the ottoman empire

And indoctrination playing a major part in excusing both - US nationals taught that conquest of indigenous land was righteous and legitimate, same same for israeli nationals no doubt ..... there is a difference here however, in time periods involved, the natives of what is now the US west were wiped out much earlier ... so enters the question - has mankind progressed during the interval .... your answer would seem to be no, is that a fair assessment?
