They said they're moving away? I didn't see that.

Actually, it's incorrect. Last night I tried reading
sec.yahoo.com
which I accessed from this site, but I had trouble reading it.
Today I looked at the top of page 9 of
sec.gov
and the figures I referred to were for nine months, not twelve. The
-2% is in the 10-Q, but the blokes who prepared it made a mistake--
it was really +2%. (Rounded to the nearest 5%, they're both zero.)

What I observe is that if you merge a growing, profitable entity
with a smaller entity that is shrinking and unprofitable, you get one
growing more slowly and less profitable. I can't believe Ed McCracken
proposed a year like F97 to the BoD when he got approval for the Cray
merger. Who can deny his performance "Needs Improvement"? I just
wish I knew why he shot himself in the foot on April 2, 1996.
