Liberals generally welcome new groups, that is if the group is willing to be welcomed. I'm reluctant to jump in as an instant friend or enemy of this guy without having any real idea where his head is at. Locally I am a great believer in the "melting pot" with the an emphasis on producing a large number of multi-ethnic children. That way it is very hard for a group to discriminate since most people they meet will have at least a part physical interest in the affected group. That doesn't mean everyone comes out the same, it actually means that people's heritage is spread out all over the place. It also means that I disagree with indigenous or immigrant groups that place restrictions on cultural or physical intermingling. TP
