A few after hours quickies:
Protein Design Labs (PDLI) posts a Q1 profit of 2 cents per share, a penny
ahead of targets. Sales beat consensus, $21.5 mln vs. $14 mln. Warns of
10-15% drop in FY02 revenues.
Electronic Arts (ERTS) records pro forma profits of 39 cents per share, 11
cents above estimates. Sales come in at $470 mln, vs. target of $438 mln.
Wendy's (WEN) records a 5.7% increase in its April same-store sales.
Pomeroy Computer (PMRY) turns in a Q1 EPS of 36 cents, in line with
expectations. Sales miss the mark at $186 mln, versus $196 mln.
Immunogen (IMGN) reports a Q3 loss of 17 cents, beating the Street
consensus by 9 cents.
Plato Learning (TUTR) cuts its Q2 sales and EPS guidance. Sees EPS of 1-3
cents, vs. 9-cent target. Revenues expected to be at $17 mln, vs. $19 mln.
Japanese government plans to ease restrictions on the development of
fuel cells for cars and houses by 2005.
The John Nuveen Co. (JNC) declares a 2-for-1 stock split, payable to
shareholders on June 24.
HPL Technologies (HPLA) earns 11 cents on a pro forma basis in Q4,
exceeding targets by a penny. Comfortable with FY03 consensus EPS.
Learning Tree Int'l (LTRE) posts a Q2 EPS of 4 cents, 1 cent better than
Street forecasts. Revenues fall short at $40.6 mln, vs. $52 mln.
