I agree I own pengrowth but would not buy more

------------- In its recent release they anounced further interest rate swaps now totalling over $125 million and rising. With ongoing rates of around 4%. Well down from over 12%. Some substantial cost savings there again for them ---

the smaller trust can do the smaller deals which can be profitable.

------------ The only trouble is that the smaller deals don't always turn out as expected -------------

I am also not sure if the Sable Island deal was that good for pengrowth

----------- Depends on the trusts themselves and their outlook and how long they plan to be around. For trusts like PGF around near 20 years with plans to be around another same . They can deal with the shorter term uncertainties or setbacks better when their outlook has always been longer term. The same can't be said for those around for just the last 5 years and operating from year to year with no definitive plan to be around say in 20 years ---------- JUST SOMETHING TO KEEP IN MIND. Kind of ties in to how much some trusts set aside each month for growing their buisness as opposed to paying out all or near all. As another poster mentioned. Which is better? An investor will have to decide that for himself and his own circumstances -------- -------------------
