Is it Sat. yet, m'lady?
Shiftwork is actually pretty disorienting. Shortly after our separation, I woke up after a long stretch of work, sometime around dusk. I thought it was dawn, put on the coffee, went up and put on the computer. Whoops, it was almost time for din-din. Charting is strange, cuz the date changes in the middle of the shift. (Military) time is strange; if it is 2100 (9PM), and I have to give another treatment in 6 hrs, it stands to reason that I need to be back at 2700, right? Daze off are weird; I was off yesterday, because the shift started on Wed, but the rest of the day was mostly spent trying to catch upon sleep, so what good was the day off?
The worst is a day shift followed by a night, or night followed by day off followed by day shift. ugh
I have it better than most, since rats are nocturnal :-).
