| If we believe that the saints live, and are concerned with the members of the Church on this earth, and if we believe in intercessory prayer, that is, our ability to pray for others, or to ask them to pray for us, then there is nothing to object to. Mary is accorded high honor as the Mother of God (Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus: these lines are scriptural). She is presumed to live with Christ in Heaven, and to be cognizant of those on Earth. All Catholics do is ask her to pray for them (Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.)....... |
