This is interesting.

But there is no similar agreement with MOT, Alcatel, and Nokia, as far as I know.

Do you know whether Samsung is now part of the GSM patent pool? I assume not.

I would think that IPR from Ericsson would be insufficient to market GSM phones.

I wouldn't think that the Cabal is giving any Asian competitor a break on GSM royalties, which makes Samsung's progress all the more remarkable.
