You're missing a very important point. People like you, who lacked critical thinking skills, were always offended by this when I posted it at SI, but sharp people will get it:

The owners of a website can, if they want to, suddenly terminate the account of every person who didn't use the word "purple" in all of their posts and they don't even have to state that inclusion of that word in every post is a requirement.

Granted, things change when you're dealing with people who have bought membership to that site. When there's money involved, then you're dealing with delivery of paid-for services. I'm talking about people who haven't.

I'm using a very extreme but nonetheless accurate (IMO) example.

Of course it would be unwise for a site to do such a thing, but it certainly would be well within their rights.

You participate on sites at the owners' pleasure; not yours.

And that means that, though I won't, I *can* deny you access to this site for any reason that pops into my age-addled mind. If I did so because I felt your contributions were a negative to the community, I would be stepping on Matt's tootsies in doing so, but that'd be an issue between me and Matt (aka the site's owners) and you would have zero say in the matter.

Does that makes sense?
