probably by the time common sense catches up with joe lender, it's time for the downgrade. at that point, when the lender is nervous about lending they can swoop in and downgrade, thus increasings joe lender's intellectual ego. the guys at the bar will be amazed at his forecasting skills when he tells them "I knew a week before the downgrade that WCOM was crap."
