Difference between freedom of speech and fraud

It's illegal to yell "fire" in a crowded theater. This I agree with, as long as there isn't indeed a fire. It's illegal to tell investors that your company is profitable when it isn't. This is securities fraud. It's illegal to tell a car buyer that the price of a car is $5,000 when it's $10,000. This is covered by truth in advertising. It's illegal to state that the mileage is 30,000 when it's 330,000. This is covered by the DMV. It's illegal to threaten to kill someone. This is a federal offense. It's illegal for a loan agent to tell you the incorrect rate when getting a loan. This is covered by the department of real estate. There are other laws that come before freedom of speech and I agree with them, especially as they protect people.

Your statement was stupid. You are also completely obsessed with me as you keep making your little responses to personally attack me only. You aren't even dealing with the real issue which is doing the right thing. If someone states these are the rules with which I will judge people then he just does whatever he feels like, whatever is easier, whatever gives him more money even if others are ripped off, then that is a very sad person who does not keep his word and doesn't care about others. tsk tsk.
