I use the software from Cogent systems, and I can tell you it works, and it is an invaluable tool in my business.
Yes, there are instances of "false" alerts, but the system generally works very well.
I don't know how well the facial recognition system from VSNX will work. But I think the ACLU has jumped to a hasty and poor conclusion.
No doubt the VSNX system has severe limitations. You've expressed you do not feel those limitations will ever be overcome.
If the VSNX works as well as the Cogent system does, then it would certainly be a big help to me in my business. (Government).
I am currently doing DD on VSNX as a private investor. I don't know if it's time to buy at 7 times book value and 7 times sales.
But in light of the verbage of proposed legislation for additional Border Security (mandating facial recognition technology and other computerized technologies), this stock might be a huge intermediate to long term winner.
