Now there's a good trivia question. I don't believe it does.

You sometimes hear people refer to DO as "data-only" instead of data-optimized .. but it is truly data-only, afaik. It is also based on IP.

So I don't see how an IS95 phone with circuit-switched data capability can receive data service on a DO IP network.

Looks like forward/backward compatibility may stop at the DO line. Actually, a DO phone may be able to obtain data services on cdmaOne and 1x networks. Can somebody help with this?
