Jimmy Carter was a micro-managing nuclear submarine officer who never understood what real leadership was all about until he retired. He never really trusted anyone, so consequently thought he had all the answers himself.

Stagflation, unemployment lines, failed military ops, hostages held captive, and an idiotic energy policy were the achievements of his failed administration.

One of the best things to happen to America was electing the Reagan administration which dramatically reduced marginal tax rates, turned us back toward our roots as a people, and helped us believe a bright future still lie ahead for our country.

This far reaching visionary leadership helped create the environment upon which the creative forces of the American people were unleashed. With those creative forces engaged once again, we unleashed the longest, deepest, and most profound wealth creating period in American history.

Twenty years later we're still reaping the rewards of this shift. And each year the gap continues to widen between where we were in 1980 as a nation, and where we are today.

Jimmy Carter started to understand leadership well after he was removed from office. While in office, he was a doom-and-gloom pessimistic leftist, who prolonged the recession, and created a climate of fear and doubt rarely seen in America before.
