I don't think there is any part of this issue that we have not "beat up" a hundred times on this thread. We do it because nothing new has, or will, happen in the near future, as far as we can see.

Maybe the difference on this board is between those who think Israel should not try to negotiate until the Palestinians really quit fighting, and those who think Israel should unilaterally pull out of the territories and they try to negotiate.

It is hard for me to accept the second position when the pullout from Lebanon was the signal for the Palestinians to up the ante.
